About Me

I was 37 years old, and I was sitting with a broken television set on a crowded footpath, crying my eyes out. I was shattered, in debt, I was fighting a gambling addiction, and I felt helpless. I felt like I had no future. I went to my first GA meeting. A little over 2 years later I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. I overcame the disease. Eight years later, I got married for the first time, and with my wife, we opened a restaurant. The restaurant folded, we got into financial difficulties, and our marriage dissolved.

I have learned throughout my life that it is not what happens to you that matters, but rather, it is how we choose to react to the situation, that matters. It is being aware that we have choices.

When I was gambling, I was on auto-pilot. Fast forward to today, and I am a completely different person. I would describe myself now as very pragmatic - I come up with extremely workable solutions, very passionate, very positive, very analytical, very intuitive and empathetic, very caring, a good listener, extremely pro-active, and I absolutely love collaborating with and helping people, whether it is with my children, my students in the business courses that I teach at university, my clients that I coach, or the numerous recovering addicts that I have counselled over the years.

If you decide to hire my services, you get somebody with a ton of business acumen. I grew up as the product of immigrant parents, who built up a small but successful printing business. I spent over 12 years working for the largest organization in Australia – the Commonwealth Bank in both metropolitan and country areas. I spent 13 years in Middle Management positions working in 4 and 5 star hotels. I have 2 university degrees, a BA in Japanese and an MBA with Distinction, specializing in International Business.

You also get somebody who has lived a “full life” and learned from the experiences. I have been coaching for over 6 years. I have taught at university and TAFE for over 20 years in a range of business courses. I have counselled numerous addicts and coached numerous university students as an e-career coach. I am an author and a public speaker.
